Wisteria Baby Concept...

Hi there!

I had a fun evening last night when a fellow SU demo popped round with some of her pre-ordered goodies and we each used the other's stash to make some cards for our display boards. One of her sets that I don't have is the Something for Baby set, so I stamped and die-cut a few images to make some samples, one of which was for a combination of challenges: the Create with Connie & Mary sketch, Colour Throwdown colour combo and the Paper Players Tic Tac Toe challenge...

And here's what I came up with...

The colouring on the photo isn't perfect as the light was not as good as I would have liked, but you get the idea - it's softer IRL...

Here's the recipe:
Stamps: Something for Baby, Petite Pairs
Ink: Wisteria Wonder, Pink Pirouette
Paper: Moonlight dsp, Wisteria Wonder, Pink Pirouette, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Naturals Ivory
Accessories: Pearls
Tools: Baby's First Framelits, Finishing Touches edgelits, 2 1/2 circle punch, Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder

Hello In-Colour Vases...

Hiya!

I had some time the other day to play with some new goodies and thought the Fab Friday colour challenge would be the perfect opportunity to play with the new In Colours coming in the brand new catty next week. I combined them with the FAB sketch from Retro Sketches this week...

I used the Vivid Vases individual stamp that is coming back in the annual catalogue and did some paper piecing and colouring....

Oh how I love lots of layers lol! I've used a few prints from the Moonlight dsp stack that we were able to pre-order, and used Blackberry Bliss card to layer everything on. The vases were stamped on Naturals White card - I paper pieced the vases with more Moonlight dsp and coloured the flowers with the In Colour markers. The sentiment is from Regarding Dahlias.

Here's the recipe:
Stamps: Vivid Vases, Regarding Dahlias
Ink: Blackberry Bliss, Memento black, Tangelo Twist, Hello Honey & Mossy Meadow markers
Paper: Moonlight dsp, Blackberry Bliss, Mossy Meadow, Whisper White, Naturals White
Accessories: Blackberry Bliss ribbon
Tools: 1 3/4" circle punch, Project Life corner punch

The Power of Two...

Hiya!

It's time for another ColourQ challenge and this week's combo is a pretty one...

I decided to make an anniversary card, creating a subtle background with a couple of new goodies...

The background was created by spritzing some Blushing Bride ink over the Hexagon Hive die, then I stamped some different heart images in the hexagons, from the Project Life Point & Click clear set and from Something to Say. The 'power of two' sentiment was embossed on Real Red card with white EP, the cut into a banner. I added some embossed hearts, a little arrow stamp from Point & Click, and some Real Red ribbon and Pool Party button as a little cluster.

Here's the recipe:
Stamps: Point & Click, Yippee Skippee, Something to Say, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Ink: Real Red, Blushing Bride, Versamark
Paper: Real Red, Island Indigo, Pool Party, Blushing Bride, Whisper White
Accessories: Real Red 1/8" ribbon, Pool Party button, White embossing powder
Tools: Hexagon Hive thinlit die, On Film framelits (arrow), Fashionable Hearts embosslits, honeycomb embossing folder

I used the sketch from Pals Paper Arts this week...

Strawberry Dahlia

Hiya!

Just popping in to share a card I made in some creative time yesterday...

I used one of the fun Project Life cards that are available now, added an embossed sentiment from Perfect Pennants and a layered flower from Regarding Dahlia (I stamped it on Pink Pirouette card twice, coloured with Pink Pirouette and Strawberry Slush inks, cut out and added sparkle with Dazzling Details). The Pool Party card in the background was stamped with one of the Flowering Flourishes stamps with Pool Party ink.

I used the colour combo at Colour Me for my inspiration...

Summer Goodness...

Hiya!

This week's we've got a really versatile colour combination over at the ColourQ...

I wanted to play with a few of my pre-order goodies from the new catty (coming in just two weeks' time!) so I used Lost Lagoon (one of the new in colours) instead of Bordering Blue, along with a new sentiment set...

I used the lovely Summer Silhouette set, together with the new Something to Say sentiment set. I also snuck in an Old Olive blendability marker (for the shading on the leaves), some Lost Lagoon ribbon (which is LUSH!) and some new dsp.

Here's the recipe:
Stamps: Summer Silhouettes, Something to Say
Ink: Lost Lagoon, Rich Razzleberry, Crumb Cake, Old Olive
Paper: Moonlight dsp, Rich Razzleberry, Crumb Cake, Whisper White
Accessories: Crumb Cake button, Lost Lagoon stitched ribbon
Tools: 2 1/2" circle punch, banner framelit

I used the layout from Seize the Sketch for this one...

New goodies...

Hiya!

I'm popping in to share a card using some NEW goodies we were able to pre-order from the up-coming catalogue...

This card features three of the new in-colours: Blackberry Bliss, Lost Lagoon & Hello Honey, as well as some new dsp. It also has a couple of new stamp sets: Traveller and one of the Project Life clear stamps (for the frame around the sentiment). Oh and there's also another sneaky peek I'm VERY excited about: Blendabilities!! Can't wait to play with these some more!

I used the Mojo Monday sketch for my layout...

I'm keeping it short and sweet tonight... it's been a busy weekend! Thanks for stopping by...

White Lattice Wedding

Hiya!

I've been playing around with some of the soon-to-be-retired products from Stampin' Up and before they say farewell I combined a few to create a wedding card...

This features the following retiring products:
- Lattice Bigz die
- Fun Flowers Bigz die
- Square Lattice embossing folder
- Loving Thoughts

I wanted to stick just with white for this card, adding a few touches of gold with gold foil card, gold embossing and a strip of gold foiled vellum.

I combined a couple of challenges for this one: the Paper Players theme and the inspiration from Curtain Call...

Here's the recipe:
Stamps: Loving Thoughts
Ink: Versamark
Paper: Whisper White, Naturals White, Gold Foil, Gold foiled vellum
Tools: Fun Flowers die, 1/2" and 3/4" circle punches, Lattice die, Square lattice EF, Gold EP

Nautical Thanks...

Hello!

This week we've got another great ColourQ combo this week...

These colours seemed perfect for a masculine card to me, so I pulled out the Word Map stamp (which my dear friend Evi was kind enough to give me for my birthday!) and had fun colouring in...

I thought the blues and green would be perfect for colouring this map - I stamped it with Night of Navy on Whisper White and coloured with an aquabrush and inkpads. The tags were created with the Angled Tag Topper punch and I added the anchor (from The Open Sea) over the top, cutting with a combination of circle framelit and punch.

I used the sketch from Seize the Sketch for my layout...

Here's the recipe:
Stamps: World Map, The Open Sea, Itty Bitty Banners
Ink: Night of Navy, Old Olive, Marina Mist
Paper: Whisper White, Night of Navy, Tangerine Tango, Naturals White, Crumb Cake
Accessories: Brights candy dots, linen thread
Tools: 1/2" & 1 3/4" circle punches, Angled Tag Topper punch, Circle framelits, Itty Bitty Banner framelits
