Autumn meets Spring...

Hiya!

I've been playing with a few new goodies from the upcoming Spring/Summer catty, in particular the Crazy about You stamp set and coordinating dies, for which there are endless possibilities! I decided to play along with the sketch from Create with Connie & Mary and thought it was a good one to make a set of cards with. Here's what I ended up with...

And here's the sketch...

The papers are from the soon-to-be-retired Colour Me Autumn dsp.

Here's the recipe:
Stamps: Crazy about You
Ink: Soft Suede, Blackberry Bliss, Mossy Meadow
Paper: Colour Me Autumn, Soft Suede, Blackberry Bliss, Sahara Sand, Naturals White, Naturals Ivory, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Gold buttons, linen thread
Tools: Hello You thinlits dies, Flower Medallion punch, Deco Labels framelits, 2 1/2" circle punch, ovals framelits, labels framelits, Itty Bitty Banners framelits

Viva la Verve anniversary set

Hello!

I've been able to spend some time over the Christmas break getting creative and one of the types of cards I need to create more of for my stash is anniversary cards. I loved the concept of this month's Viva la Verve one sheet wonder sketch challenge so I decided to play along and ended up with these...

I used some Verve stamps I have in my collection as well as some old dsp, combined with a Stampin Up embossing folder and some Sahara Sand and Naturals White cardstock. Here's one featuring the Swan Song set...

And another using some super cute bunnies...

This one involved some fussy cutting of these sweet birds...

And finally one without cute critters...

So there's my set of anniversary cards - hope you enjoyed!

Papertrey December Blog Hop Challenge

Hiya!

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas yesterday! One of the pressies I received was a fab Papertrey stamp set that I have had my eye on since its release - A Cheerful Heart. The collection of scriptures and sentiments is absolutely beautiful and I really wanted to create something straight away so I thought the blog hop would be a great place to start. The challenge this month was to use both silver and gold on your project...

The gold element is on the Kaisercraft paper, while the silver is the embossed butterflies from PTI's Butterfly Dreams. I used a blank notebook I had in my collection  - love decorating blank notebooks!

That's all from me for now - thanks for stopping by!

Retro Noel Wreath

Hello!

This week's ColourQ challenge is a lovely Christmassy one and I thought I'd sneak one more Christmas card in before the 25th! Actually this combo has lots of possibilities...

I went with Christmas because I could see the wreath from Wonderous Wreath working really well with this colours...

I stamped the first wreath image with Hello Honey, followed by Old Olive, with the berries in Real Red over the top. The greeting was die-cut from gold foil card. I used this week's fun Retro Sketch for my layout...

Make sure you check out the fabulous creations (Christmas and otherwise!) from the Royal Court this week, and don't forget that you've got TWO weeks to play along with this challenge over the Christmas season.

Nordic Bauble...

Hiya!

It's time for another ColourQ challenge and this combination is very festive...

I must admit that I was pushed for time this week and wasn't sure I could get a project made but when I saw the colours I realised that I already had a card with similar colours to these that I hadn't shared anywhere yet so that worked perfectly!

I used the Christmas Bauble single stamp combined with some Nordic Noel dsp to create this card, colouring the bauble in with markers and adding a vintage faceted button to the centre.

Here's the recipe:
Stamps: Christmas Bauble, Good Greetings
Ink: Memento black, Garden Green, SU markers
Paper: Nordic Noel dsp, Real Red, Whisper White
Accessories: Real Red ribbon, rhinestones, vintage faceted button
Tools: Snowflake thinlits collection (banner)
