Hi there,
I saw a gorgeous technique on Betsy Veldman's blog the other day which I've been keen to try so I combined the Colour Q challenge with this week's Freshly Made sketch and started playing!
I used SU's Growing Green set with some dsp from the new mini catty to come up with this:
The flowers and leaves were embossed with white EP then sponged with inks then I sprayed the whole piece with water and left it to dry. I added some butterflies die-cut from Vellum cardstock and Peach Parfait card, layered them and added some rhinestones to the middle. The punched piece on the right was created with the Lace Ribbon border punch then trimmed to shape it.
Here's the recipe:
Stamps: Growing Green, Happiness Shared, Sweetheart
Ink: Versamark, Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz, Peach Parfait, So Saffron
Paper: Twitterpated dsp, Pear Pizzazz, Peach Parfait, So Saffron, Whisper White, watercolour
Accessories: White EP, Beautiful Wings embosslits die, oval punches, rhinestones, lace ribbon border punch
I'll be popping back soon with my Mojo card...
Thanks for stopping by!
