Olympic Mashup...!

Hiya,

It's my turn to host the Friday Mashup this week - how exiting!! Seeing as in the UK we are getting excited about the London Olympics coming up, I thought it would be fun to have a challenge based on the Olympic rings...

So here is the "Mashup" Challenge :
  1. Make a project with "The Olympic Colour Combination of Marina Mist, Basic Black, Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi & Red."
  2. Or Make a Project using "Multiple Circles."
  3. Or "Mash it Up" and create a project with the "Olympic Color Combo and Multiple Circles."
I wanted to make a circle card using these colours so I came up with this...

Can you count the circles? I used a flower from Mixed Bunch with circles in the centre, as well as an antique brad that is circular. The flower was stamped with Real Red on Very Vanilla, then I coloured in the details on the petals with a Daffodil Delight marker and cut out by hand. I layered this on a punched flower from Real Red cardstock. The card base was created using the scallop circle die and Marina Mist card then I layered a Basic Black circle and First Edition dsp circle (both cut by hand and distressed).

Here's the recipe:
Stamps: Mixed Bunch, Tea Shoppe
Ink: Marina Mist, Real Red, Daffodil Delight marker
Paper: First Edition dsp, Basic Black, Marina Mist, Real Red, Very Vanilla, Wild Wasabi
Tools: Scallop circle die, leaves sizzlit die, blossom punch, oval punches
Accessories: lace trim, antique brad

I do hope you'll stop by the Friday Mashup challenge and check out what the the rest of the DT have created! Thanks for stopping by...
