Sneaky Throwdown...

Hiya,

I had a chance to play along with two challenges last night: the Color Throwdown challenge and Card Patterns sketch.

I broke out some new goodies (namely a gorgeous Sale-a-Bration set available on 24th Jan) and made myself move out of my comfort zone with these bright colours...

I inked up the image with markers and stamped on whisper white then stamped the same image again over the top with Versamark and embossed with clear EP to really make the image pop. The circle was cut out using the Circles #2 die and the Choc Chip scallop is from the Perfect Pennants die. I sponged around the circle image with some Choc Chip ink to warm up this panel a little. The Melon Mambo dsp in the background is from the Flirtateous pack - gorgeous! I added some Island Indigo ruffled ribbon, a Pumpkin Pie button and a couple of rhinestones to finish.

I'm really enjoying having some time off and more time to create at the moment. There's something about taking part in challenges that gets my creative juices flowing and helps me create things I wouldn't normally come up with!

Thanks for stopping by!
