Berry Blossom Cupcakes...

Hi there,

Are you enjoying the regular posts? I must say I'm enjoying my time off and having more time to craft... Some of my crafty friends drop little hints when my blog posts get a bit sporadic (hey Lyn!) so hopefully this week is making up for my absences last month! I recently got my hand on the Berry Blossoms dsp from the current mini catty and I really like the colour combo. I had lots of fun stamping bits and pieces from the Create a Cupcake stamp set (also in the current mini) using the colours from the dsp pack then cut them out (I don't have the coordinating punch yet) and assembled them... a very tasty-looking production line! I used some sketches to help me put together a set of coordinating cards...

Here are the sketches I used:

First up, the Sweet Stop sketch:

For this one I stamped the top of the cupcake in Calypso Coral (2nd generation ink) and added some flowers inked with markers with a rhinestone in the centre of each. I cut some flowers and the strawberry image from the dsp to layer on the card. The punched border is from the eyelet lace border punch and I stamped a border underneath using a stamp from Borderlines (also from the current mini).

The next one is using the Card Patterns sketch:

On this one the cupcake wrapper was stamped in Lucky Limeade (2nd generation ink to get the paler colour) and the bow stamped over the top with Chocolate Chip. The cherry was inked with markers and 'glazed' with crystal effects.  I used the Designer Frames oval embossing folder to frame the image.

This one used Karen's Sweet Sunday sketch:

The top of the cupcake was stamped in 2nd generation choc chip ink with the sprinkles stamped over the top. I added a heart and candle to decorate.

The last card started as the Card Patterns sketch but kinda wandered a bit!

More fussy cutting of the dsp for the flowers... Some choc chip buttons and ribbon finished things off.

Here's the supplies:
