It's time for another Paper Players challenge and this time we're playing along with Jaydee's sketch:
I flipped the sketch and used Up, Up and Away to create a masculine birthday card (which I never seem to have enough of!!)...
I used the Colour Q challenge this week to get me started on a colour scheme:
The balloons were stamped with black/pear pizzazz, real red/crumb cake and black/crumb cake then cut out and popped up over the baskets that I stamped in crumb cake on the whisper white panel. The Crumb Cake panel was embossed with the square lattice embossing folder that I had inked with crumb cake ink. The sentiment is from the same stamp set punched out and layered with a few circle punches - I added a couple of pieces of pear pizzazz ribbon to dress up the sentiment a bit.
Here's the recipe:
Stamps: Up, Up & Away
Ink: Real Red, Crumb Cake, Pear Pizzazz, Basic Black
Paper: Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Whisper White, Real Red
Tools: Square Lattice embossing folder, circle punches
Accessories: Pear Pizzazz ribbon, Real Red brads, white Signo gel pen

The embossing folder is from "Stampin Up" and is called "Square Lattice". Hope that helps!

ReplyDeleteAwesome masculine card Amy - the colours work so well with your design & give a great vintage feel. Love the extra definition you have added to the embossing with the colour & the cute, rosette style sentiment. :)
