Hiya!
I'm preparing for an SU event next weekend where I'll be demonstrating how to create some altered notebooks/journals and I wanted to make a few samples to display... so I combined a couple of challenges to help me: the Mojo Monday sketch and the colour combo from PPA...
I know the sketch is tall & skinny but I kinda took it to an extreme with this one though...!
I wanted to make a notepad suitable for a guy so chose the combination of Traveller and World Map stamps, with sentiments from the new Something to Say. The star was embossed with Pool Party EP on Basic Grey card and cut out. I showed this one to my husband when I finished and asked him if it was suitable for a guy... he replied "yeah, if you lose the star and button"... I tried to explain that stars and silver buttons are great embellishments for guys but he wasn't convinced... lol!
Here's the recipe:
Stamps: Traveller, World Map, Something to Say, Perfect Pennants
Ink: Lost Lagoon, Pool Party, Black, Basic Grey marker
Paper: Basic Grey, Pool Party, Lost Lagoon, Whisper White, Naturals Ivory
Accessories: silver button, Pool Party EP
Tools: circles framelits, circle punches
Thanks for stopping by!

Nautical Dad...
Hiya!
It's time for another fun ColourQ challenge and this week's colours could be patriotic, nautical, or anything else you'd like to make them!
I went with a nautical theme as I wanted to use the new Traveller set as well as the Metro Type photopolymer alphabet set...
Most of the time making this went into making that porthole - created using Circle framelits and mini silver brads. It's actually pretty easy to do, but makes for a great effect!
Here's the recipe:
Stamps: Traveller, Metro Type alphabet, Hardwood
Ink: Sahara Sand, Night of Navy, Marina Mist
Paper: Marina Mist, Real Red, Night of Navy, Sahara Sand, Whisper White
Accessories: Mini silver brads
Tools: Top note bigz die, Circles framelits
I used the PPA sketch this week for my layout...
Make sure you check out the rest of the Royal Court's fabulous creations - there are lots of different themes used with these colours so lots of inspiration!
Thanks for stopping by...

New goodies...
Hiya!
I'm popping in to share a card using some NEW goodies we were able to pre-order from the up-coming catalogue...
This card features three of the new in-colours: Blackberry Bliss, Lost Lagoon & Hello Honey, as well as some new dsp. It also has a couple of new stamp sets: Traveller and one of the Project Life clear stamps (for the frame around the sentiment). Oh and there's also another sneaky peek I'm VERY excited about: Blendabilities!! Can't wait to play with these some more!
I used the Mojo Monday sketch for my layout...
I'm keeping it short and sweet tonight... it's been a busy weekend! Thanks for stopping by...
