CR84FN Paris Sunshine...

Hiya,

Just popping in to share a card I made for the CR84FN colour challenge as well as this week's Card Patterns sketch...

I dug out a set I hadn't used in a while (Artistic Etchings) to create a bright birthday card:

I used the Flirtatious DSP for the background along with one of the doilies. The little scallop trim above the sentiment is a strip of Melon Mambo punched with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon border punch. The rest was pretty simple so I'll leave you with the recipe:

Stamps: Artistic Etchings, Party this Way
Ink: Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight
Paper: Flirtatious DSP, Melon Mambo, Whisper White, Peach Parfait
Accessories: corner rounder, rhinestones, Beautiful Wings Embosslits die, Daffodil Delight button, Peach Parfait ribbon, Dotted Scallop Ribbon border punch

Thanks for stopping by!

Manly Colour Q set...

Hello!

Sorry for the long absence from my blog! It's been a really busy time over the last few weeks and although I've made stuff for classes, I haven't had a chance to photograph them to share. I had a bit of time last night and thought I'd play along with this week's Colour Q challenge, along with the sketch from Create with Connie and Mary...

When I saw the colours I thought of leaves with those different greens so I made a set of quick cards for guys (I never seem to have these on hand when I need them!). Here's the one based on the sketch above...

And here's one with the same elements flipped around...

It was easy to create this set with SU's leaves die because you can put three different colours of card over the die and put through the Big Shot in one go - this makes twelve leaves - perfect for 4 cards! I scrunched each leaf for a bit of texture, added a circle embossed with the Square lattice folder, then some water spots from French Foliage. The greeting is from a hostess set, stamped with charcoal ink from the distressing kit. I added a button to each to finish!

Here's the complete set:

That's all for now... thanks for stopping by!
