Stippled Blossom Tag...

Hi there,

I've just remembered that I totally forgot to post my ColourQ card last night! I was called out to a last minute rehearsal and so was rushing round and it totally slipped my mind. Anyway, here are this week's colours...

The yellow/orange combo made me think of the two-step set Stippled Blossoms so that's what I started with...

I used this week's Tag You're It challenge to inspire me for this one.

Here's the recipe:
Stamps: Stippled Blossoms, Petite Pairs, Gorgeous Grunge
Ink: Hello Honey, Tangerine Tango, Always Artichoke
Paper: Under the Tree dsp, Whisper White, Always Artichoke, Soft Sky
Accessories: Mossy Meadow ribbon, linen thread
Tools: Scalloped tag Topper punch, Lovely Lace embossing folder

Krafty Blended Bauble...

Hello!

I thought I'd better start cracking out some more Christmas cards with December fast approaching so the other day I pulled out some images that I had coloured whilst on holiday in August but had never got around to using on a card. I had lots of fun colouring the Christmas Bauble image in with my Blendabilities...

I used a couple of challenges to help me pull my card together: the layout from Freshly Made Sketches this week as well as the inspiration pic from Card Concept...

I was inspired by the kraft paper and red ribbon from the pic so I used some Under the Tree dsp with Cherry Cobbler seam binding as my starting point. I do believe this card fits the 'clean and layered' style!

Here's the recipe:
Stamps: Christmas Bauble, Good Greetings
Ink: Memento black, Versamark, Blendabilities
Paper: Under the Tree dsp, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Naturals White
Accessories: Cherry Cobbler seam binding, Cherry Cobbler embossing powder, gold button, linen thread
Tools: Project Life Corner rounder punch

Blended Apothecary Wreath...

Hello!

It's Tuesday, which means time for another fun ColourQ challenge. Check out this week's pretty combo...

I was pondering what to do with these colours when I noticed that I had Blendabilities in Old Olive and Coastal Cabana (close enough to Cool Caribbean I hope!) so I went looking for something to colour and decided on the Apothecary Art set (and oldie but a goodie!). Here's what I ended up with...

The background is some Color Me Autumn dsp embossed with the Mosaic embossing folder and then sanded to get a distressed feel. I added some silver baker's twine and a few pearls coloured with Blendabilities to finish. I used the Deconstructed Sketch this week for my layout...

Here's the recipe:
Stamps: Apothecary Art, Regarding Dahlias
Ink: Early Espresso, Blendabilities (Old Olive, Coastal Cabana, Skin Tones)
Paper: Color Me Autumn dsp, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White
Accessories: Silver Baker's Twine, Pearls
Tools: Labels framelits, Mosaic embossing folder

Blooming Birthday Tag

Hiya!

It's time for another ColourQ challenge and I just love this week's inspiration pic - so pretty!

I had to substitute a few colours as three of these are retired so I used Old Olive, Tangelo Twist and Cajun Craze. I decided to break out a hostess set and do some colouring and cutting for this one...

I was inspired by the Tag You're It challenge this week and Lyn's beautiful tag card so that was my inspiration for this one. The flowers were stamped on watercolour paper, coloured with an aquabrush and inkpads, then I covered the images with Versamark ink and clear embossed twice to give them a shiny glazed look (you can't really see in the photo but it's really pretty IRL). I keep forgetting that the Tag You're It challenge is supposed to be CAS so I added layers and pearls before realising... oops!

Here's the recipe:
Stamps: Bloom with Hope
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Tangelo Twist, Cajun Craze, Stazon, Versamark
Paper: Project Life card, Color Me Autumn dsp, Chocolate Chip, Watercolour, Naturals White
Accessories: Clear embossing powder, Iridescent Ice EP Tangelo Twist ribbon, pearls
Tools: Angled Tag Topper punch

Boho Bright Birthday

Hello!

Just popping in quickly to share a card I made combining a couple of challenges: the sketch from Mojo Monday and the inspiration from Curtain Call...

I love the colours and woodgrain in the inspiration pic and decided to ink up a hostess set that hasn't seen much {any?!} love from me...

I coloured the sun and bird with Blendabilities, added a couple of die-cut banners and some pattern from a Project Life card and finished with some ribbon and a button.

Here's the recipe:
Stamps: Hello Love, Hardwood
Ink: Memento black, Hello Honey, Rich Razzleberry, Sahara Sand, Blendabilities (Daffodil Delight, Rich Razzleberry)
Paper: Happiness Is PL card, Rich Razzleberry, Lost Lagoon, Sahara Sand, Whisper White, Naturals White
Accessories: Hello Honey ribbon, gold button, white twine
Tools: Hearts a Flutter framelits, Large scallop edgelit

Starry Lagoon Shaker...

Hello!

http://stampercamper.com/

Welcome to the Create with Connie & Mary Holiday Collection blog hop! Each Saturday the team will be sharing a Christmas/Winter themed project with you. You should have made your way here from Claire Broadwater's fabulous blog (if you have just stumbled upon this hop though, you can click the pic above to take you back, or the link at the bottom of this post to take you to the start of the hop).

This card is another one I made at team training - it was my first attempt at a shaker card for years and I loved how it turned out.The shaker was created using the Chalk Talk framelit, punched with a 2 1/2" circle punch, with the shaker filled with punched stars from the Confetti Stars punch. The background and greeting were created with Endless Wishes using Silver Encore ink, Lost Lagoon and Soft Sky for the snowflakes.

Here's the recipe:
Stamps: Endless Wishes
Ink: Silver Encore, Lost Lagoon, Soft Sky, Lost Lagoon marker
Paper: Lost Lagoon, Whisper White, Window sheet
Accessories: Lost Lagoon ribbon, All is Calm snowflake embellishment, white baker's twine, rhinestones
Tools: Chalk Talk framelits, Confetti Stars punch, 2 1/2" circle .punch

Christmas tag card set...

Hiya!

It's time for a new ColourQ challenge and it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....

The fabulous Tracey McNeely is having a fun event over at her blog at the moment called the 25 Tags of Christmas and she invited the ColourQ team to play along. Unfortunately I have been SO busy this last week that although I made a tag with this in mind, I didn't get the chance to get my tag to her in time so I'm not officially playing along but I do recommend popping over to her blog for a chance to win lots of cool prizes!

Anyway, for this challenge I made a tag, then decided to add it to a card, then went ahead and made a whole set...!

Here's the tag by itself...

These cards were nice and quick to put together - I just cut some Gold Soiree with the Party Pennants Bigz die and used those pieces as the background for my tags, along with embossing the white card base. The trees were stamped with Garden Green (the closest I have to Handsome Hunter) and the baubles stamped with second generation Tangelo Twist (again, the closest I could get to Peach Parfait!). I added some rhinestones to the trees and coloured them with an Old Olive Blendabilities marker which made them look very similar to Lucky Limeade.

Here's the recipe:
Stamps: Endless Wishes, Festival of Trees
Ink: Garden Green, Tangelo Twist, Real Red, Old Olive Blendabilities
Paper: Gold Soiree dsp, Whisper White, Old Olive, Project Life journalling card
Accessories: Real Red 3/8" ribbon, rhinestones
Tools: Angled Tag Topper punch, Tree punch, Large Polka Dot embossing folder, Party Pennants bigz die, banner framelit

Starry Simple Trees...

Hello!

http://stampercamper.com/

Welcome to the Create with Connie & Mary Holiday Collection blog hop! Each Saturday the team will be sharing a Christmas/Winter themed project with you. You should have made your way here from Claire Broadwater's fabulous blog (if you have just stumbled upon this hop though, you can click the pic above to take you back, or the link at the bottom of this post to take you to the start of the hop).

This card is one I made at team training in about 5 minutes (quickest card EVER) but I love how it turned out! ...

I punched a piece of Kraft cardstock with the Confetti Stars punch and folded it into a card base and glued a piece of Cherry Cobbler card inside, behind the punched out stars. The ribbon is the gorgeous Cherry Cobbler linen ribbon from the Autumn/Winter catalogue. The focal panel is simply a Chalk Talk die-cut layered with a couple of stamped and punched trees with a little sentiment from Endless Wishes.

Here's the recipe:
Stamps: Festival of Trees, Endless Trees
Ink: Garden Green, Pear Pizzazz, Cherry Cobbler
Paper: Kraft, Whisper White
Accessories:Cherry Cobbler linen ribbon
Tools: Tree punch, Chalk Talk framelits, Confetti Stars punch
