Hello!
It's time for another fun ColourQ challenge and this week's colours are a lovely bright combination...
I went rummaging through my retired designer paper collection for this one and found some dsp that had Riding Hood Red, Pumpkin Pie and So Saffron (close enough to the colours in the pic!) so I decided start with that...
I used a couple of other challenges to give me some inspiration - the Forest Friends theme from The Card Concept and the TGIF Monthly Remix (I combined the sketch with the birthday theme). Sometimes I need a lot of help with putting my card together when the ideas aren't flowing!!
Once I had the colours, sketch and theme, I broke out the old owl punch and got happy with my layers! I found a bit of old Kiwi Kiss card in my stash to cut the leaf swirl from (from MFT).
Make sure you check out the fabulous inspiration fromt the rest of the Royal Court this week!

Vintage Greys..
Hi there!
This week's ColourQ palette is moving into an autumnal feel, and I just love these colours together...
I really wanted to do a tone-on-tone grey background when I saw this combination, so I started with that, and ended up with this...
I used a combination of a current SU set (Vintage Leaves) with the coordinating dies, together with an old retired background stamp and a Verve sentiment. I had to use Hello Honey and Cajun Craze for the leaves as I don't have ink in the other colours.
When I saw the sketch at Viva la Verve this week, I just couldn't resist using it for this, considering the layout was perfect for the leaves to be a focal point (and the sketch even had some of these colours!)...
I'm sure the rest of the ColourQ Royal Court have got some fabulous samples to inspire you with today - make you you check them out!

ColourQ Special Birthday...
Hello!
It's time for another ColourQ challenge and this week's colours are so pretty...
I remembered that I had some OLD Stampin Up dsp from when I first discovered SU that had similar colours to these so I rummaged through my stash and went with that as my starting point. This card pretty much has all my favourites on it: layers, pearls, ribbon, and of course a butterfly...
I used this week's Viva la Verve sketch for my layout...
Make sure you check out the wonderful creations from the rest of the Royal Court - they are sure to inspire you!

Fresh Vintage Leaves
Hi there!
I've been busy prepping for an upcoming class featuring the Vintage Leaves stamp set & matching dies from Stampin Up and I decided to combine a couple of challenges to help inspire me. I combined the Freshly Made Sketch with the colours from the Paper Players...
I wanted to try out a background technique idea that I'd had going round in my head and seeing as this sketch showed off quite a bit of the background, I thought it would be perfect...
This focuses on tone-on-tone stamping and is pretty simple in the end, but I rather like the outcome - perfect for a guy (and I'm often asked for thank you cards for men!).

Mojo birthday layers...
Hiya!
I couldn't resist playing along with the Mojo Monday sketch challenge this week, and I combined it with the pretty Color Throwdown combination this week...
I got a bit layer-happy with this one!
I used some Kaisercraft papers combined with a couple of Verve sets (Lean on Me and Big Wish), with Night of Navy ink for the stamping and cardstock for the layers. The leaf swirl is a MFT die-cut.

Retro Balloons...
Hiya!
After having a week off last week while on holiday, I'm back and playing along with this week's fun ColourQ challenge...
I struggled with this combination and made one card that I really didn't like, so decided to try again! I searched through my stamp sets for inspiration, and when I saw Papertrey's Up, Up & Away set, I knew I could do something with those balloons. I had lots of fun colouring with this one...
I used a combination of Stampin Up inks and Inktense pencils as I didn't have Summer Starfruit or Bravo Burgundy inks so I chose pencils that were closest to those colorus. Love Inktense pencils!! I used this week's Retro Sketch for my layout...
Make sure you check out the fabulous creations from the rest of the design team this week!
