Hi there!
I'm excited to be playing along with Just Add Ink today as their Guest Designer! This week they've got a fab sketch for us to play along with...
I had a flower that I had stamped and coloured a while ago and it seemed like the perfect time to use it with this sketch...
The solid flower (from Flower Patch) was stamped with Real Red ink on Whisper White then I shaded over each petal with Cherry Cobbler blendabilities to give some more dimension. I added some leaves cut with the Flower Frenzy die and a sentiment from Hey You.
Here's the recipe:
Stamps: Flower Patch, Hey You
Ink: Real Red, Stazon
Paper: Deck the Halls dsp, Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Garden Green, Pear Pizzazz, Cherry Cobbler blendabilities
Accessories: Pearls
Tools: Project Life framelits, Flower Fair framelits, Flower Frenzy bigz die
Make sure you stop by the Just Add Ink challenge blog and check out all the inspiration from the design team!

Project Hipster Birthday...
Hiya!
It's time for another ColourQ challenge and we've got another fun combo this week...
I was running short on time so I pulled out a Project Life card that had similar colours on it and decided to go with a birthday card for a young person...
I've been aquainting myself with the 'hipster' look in the last week (long story!) as I didn't have a clue what it was and apparently the nerdy glasses are a big thing in this particular fashion so when I looked at the Project Life sticker sheet and spotted the glasses I knew I had to use them! I added Crystal Effects to the lenses for an authentic look.
Here's the recipe:
Stamps: Big News, Gorgeous Grunge
Ink: Blackberry Bliss, Old Olive
Paper: PL 4x3" card & sticker (Happiness Is), Old Olive, Basic Black, Sahara Sand
Accessories: Crystal Effects
Tools: Envelope Punch Board, Confetti Stars punch
I used the Paper Players sketch to help me this week...
Make sure you check out the inspiration provided by the rest of the Royal Court this week!
Thanks for stopping by...

Holiday Village Joy...
Hello!
Welcome to the Create with Connie & Mary Holiday Collection blog hop! Each Saturday the team will be sharing a Christmas/Winter themed project with you. You should have made your way here from Claire Broadwater's fabulous blog (if you have just stumbled upon this hop though, you can click the pic above to take you back, or the link at the bottom of this post to take you to the start of the hop).
This card is one I did for my recent Holiday Home class...
I wanted to try one of the stair stepper cards with this stamp set so I made the base with Garden Green card, added some Nordic Noel dsp and torn Whisper White card for snow, then stamped out a bunch of houses. The 'joy' was die-cut with Garden Green card and made sparkly with some Dazzling Details.
Here's the recipe:
Stamps: Holiday Home
Ink: Stazon, Garden Green, Real Red, markers, white chalk marker
Paper: Nordic Noel dsp, Garden Green, Whisper White, Naturals Ivory, Naturals White, Sahara Sand
Accessories: Dazzling Details
Tools: Holiday Home framelits, Wonderous Wreath framelits
I'm at the end of the hop so if you want to go back to the start to the fabulous Mary Brown, click on the link below.... I hope you've been inspired today!

Celebrate the Season
Hello!
I'm playing along with the Create with Connie & Mary Holiday Collection blog hop this month! Each Saturday the team will be sharing a Christmas/Winter themed project with you. You should have made your way here from Claire Broadwater's blog and seen her wonderfully elegant Christmas card (if you have just stumbled upon this hop though, you can click the pic above to take you back, or the link at the bottom of this post to take you to the start of the hop).
I decided to share a little something I made at a SU team training event a few weeks ago, using the fabulous Confetti Stars Punch and the Endless Wishes stamp set...
I love the combination of Lost Lagoon and silver mixed with Kraft cardstock - manages to look elegant and slightly rustic at the same time! I created the background using Lost Lagoon, Soft Sky and Silver Encore inks then added a few punched stars from Dazzling Details glimmer paper. I punched a Lost Lagoon strip with the Confetti Stars punch, glued it down the side and then added some more glimmer stars in some of the punched out shapes for a bit of extra sparkle. The greeting is one of the frames from Four Frames combined with a couple of the sentiments from Endless Wishes (one of the great features of photopolymer is the ability to bend the stamps on the block!).
Here's the recipe:
Stamps: Endless Wishes, Four Frames
Ink: Soft Sky, Lost Lagoon, Silver Encore
Paper: Kraft, Lost Lagoon, Whisper White, Dazzling Details glimmer paper
Accessories: Silver 1/8" ribbon
Tools: Decorative label punch, Confetti Stars punch
I'm at the end of the hop so if you want to go back to the start to the fabulous Mary Brown, click on the link below.... I hope you've been inspired today!

Starburst Film Birthday...
Hiya!
So I messed up a bit this week in that I prepared a card for next week's challenge thinking it was this week's and only realised on Sunday evening, by which time I had no time to photograph any new card with daylight - aargh! So I made something, photographed it as best as I could, but it's not brilliant unfortunately. Anyway, here are THIS week's ColourQ colours...
And here's my Monday evening last-minute attempt...
I don't do Halloween so I was trying to come up with alternative ways of using these colours and I thought these ones would be good for a child's birthday, so that's what I went with.
Here's the recipe:
Stamps: Everyday Occasions kit, Big News, Something to Say, Gorgeous Grunge
Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight
Paper: Rich Razzleberry, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight, Basic Black, Whisper White
Accessories: Black chevron ribbon, Brights candy dots
Tools: On Film framelits
Mame sure you check out the fab creations from the rest of the design team this week!

Golden Cherry Stars...
Hi there!
I'm just popping in with a quick card to share that I made recently for a class using the Bright and Beautiful stamp set...
I combined a number of different layers on this star: embossing with gold on Cherry Cobbler, stamping tone-on-tone with Cherry Cobbler and Champagne Glimmer Paper, as well as cutting a star window out of some Deck the Halls dsp and layering the star over the top. Unfortunately, the embossed sentiment didn't show very well in the photo, but that was embossed with gold on Garden Green and die-cut with one of the Project Life framelits.
Don't forget that it's Preview Week over at Create with Connie & Mary and today's colour challenge is the perfect match for my card (totally unknown to me!!)...
Yesterday there was a fabulous free tutorial from Deb Currier that you really should check out - loads of inspiration! Don't forget that during Preview Week you can sign up for the Holiday Collection for the Early Bird price of $24.95!

Create with Connie & Mary Guest Designer!
Hiya!
I've got some exciting news to share today...
I'm a Guest Designer for the Create with Connie & Mary Holiday edition! I'm looking forward to sharing my project with subscribers later this month, and I'll be playing along with the team in sharing some holiday projects with you throughout the month. During this coming week - Preview Week - you can sign up for the Early Bird price of only $24.95, which gets you LOADS of inspiration throughout the Holiday edition, with projects using the wonderful stamps and accessories in the Stampin Up Holiday catalogue.
I'll be using the fabulous Holiday Home set in my project and so today, to kick off Preview Week, I'm sharing a card I made using this set...
I decided to try a shaker card for an extra special Christmas card. I created the house by stamping it on multiple pieces of card - Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Basic Grey and Cajun Craze - then cut out the various pieces with my paper snips and paper pieced it all together. I sponged a touch of Crushed Curry ink on the bottom of the windows and stamped a wreath on the door with Garden Green ink.
The background is Night of Navy card, stamped with the trees from White Christmas with Whisper White ink and embossed with iridescent ice embossing powder. I also stamped some 'snow' with Whisper White ink around the trees. I stamped the trees again with Night of Navy ink on Naturals White card, cut along the snow lines then glued over the top. The frame is die-cut with the largest On Film framelit from Under the Tree dsp. I added some frosted sequins inside the shaker, sealed it up with dimensionals and voila! I added some Cherry Cobbler linen ribbon along with the sentiment and a Cherry Cobbler candy dot to finish.
Here's a close up:
Here's the recipe:
Stamps: Holiday Home, White Christmas
Ink: Night of Navy, Early Espresso, Whisper White, Gold Encore, Garden Green, Crushed Curry
Paper: Deck the Halls dsp, Night of Navy, Very Vanilla, Naturals Ivory, Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake, Basic Grey, Window sheet
Accessories: Cherry Cobbler linen ribbon, Regals candy dots
Tools: On Film framelits, Snowflake thinlit collection
Make sure you visit Create with Connie and Mary and check out the projects from the rest of the designers during Preview Week - there are lots of ideas being showcased this week as well as some fab blog candy up for grabs - and don't forget to sign up during Preview Week for the discounted price!
