Check out this week's fab colour combination over at the ColourQ...

I went for a masculine card as I thought these colours would be perfect... I dug out a couple of old pieces of dsp with a combination of these colours on them and came up with this...

I was rather pleased to find a piece of dsp that had Poppy Parade, Pool Party and Kraft included in the design! I used that to paper piece the balloon (from one of my fave Verve sets!), and pieced the basket using Crumb Cake cardstock. I used this week's Viva la Verve sketch for my layout...

Together for Tea...

Hiya!

This week at the ColourQ we have a lovely combination of colours with lots of possibilities...

Now with my love of butterflies, and butterflies being in the inspiration pic, you would think that there would be a butterfly somewhere on my card... but no! Instead I went for a vintage tea-party look...

One of my close friends loves a cup of tea (as do I!) and we often joke about needing a tea to alleviate our troubles during more stressful days! So this one is for her (and she loves all shades of blue). I used the first Viva la Verve sketch from this month for my layout, but rotated it to suit what I wanted to do...

Deconstructed Vases...

Hi there!

I've been preparing for an up-coming class this weekend and have been playing around with ideas for altering designer paper and decided to use a couple of challenges to help me put a card together with one of my altered pieces of dsp. I liked the colours from Create with Connie & Mary, and I wanted to play along with the last ever Deconstructed Sketch...

I pulled out some stamps I haven't used in a while - Vivid Vases and Something to Say...

I embossed some splatters from Gorgeous Grunge on the Smoky Slate background with silver EP and couldn't resist adding a chocolate chip bow using some old retired grosgrain ribbon (loved this stuff!).

Golden Mr & Mrs...

Hiya!

It's time for another ColourQ challenge and here's the pretty palette we have to play with...

I put together a wedding card using a set that has now retired, a bit of Kaisercraft paper and a few current SU goodies...

You can't see the gold embossing very well in this pic but IRL it looks brighter. I used this week's Retro Sketch for my layout...

I hope you all are having a fab week! It's time for another ColourQ challenge and this week's colours are so pretty together...

Of course, what should I decide to do with such soft and pretty colours? Make a man's card of course! Lol...

Gotta love the versatility of colours when you add a masculine image and distress the edges of designer paper! I had such fun colouring this image - I remembered again why I love colouring in so much - it is so therapeutic... Must do this more often! I was having such fun with the colours and dsp that I made another one with a different image and more colouring...

I used this week's Fusion challenge for both of my cards...

Owl Thank You...

Hello!

Well after a little break last week, we're back with another great ColourQ challenge to play with...

These are such fun colours together and perfect for a boy's card, but there are loads of other possibilities! I dug through my Project Life cards and found a perfect Hello Honey one with a speech bubble, which I trimmed down and paired with a punched owl to create this...
